As a Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor) you will be at the forefront of cuttingâedge technology, delivering expert onâsite installation, preventive maintenance, and rapid troubleshooting for advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your role is pivotal in guaranteeing that our customersâ production lines operate at peak efficiency, while nurturing strong relationships through professional service delivery.
Working from our Perai, Penang facility, you will engage with a diverse range of equipment, from wafer processing tools to metrology and packaging systems. You will collaborate closely with crossâfunctional teamsâincluding engineering, product management, and customer supportâto resolve technical issues, conduct performance validations, and provide detailed technical reports. A keen eye for detail, analytical mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality standards are essential.

Tanggung Jawab
- Install, configure, and calibrate semiconductor equipment on customer sites, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Diagnose complex hardware and software faults using diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Provide onâsite training and technical guidance to customers, fostering effective usage and maintenance practices.
- Document all service activities, including repair actions, parts used, and recommendations, in the companyâs reporting system.
- Coordinate with the engineering and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and resources.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas to enhance service processes and product reliability.
- Maintain upâtoâdate knowledge of emerging semiconductor technologies and industry best practices.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical) or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of handsâon experience in installing, servicing, or maintaining semiconductor or similar highâtech equipment.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Strong problemâsolving and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work under pressure in fastâpaced environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Selfâmotivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple service calls simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel within the Penang region and occasionally to other locations as required.
- Valid Malaysian driverâs license.
