About the Role
Emerson Electric, a global leader in engineering and industrial software, is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Finance Systems Analyst to join our regional hub in Bayan Lepas, Penang. In this strategic role, you will function as the primary expert for our global financial systems landscape, serving as the go-to authority on business processes, rules, logic, and data within the Finance organization.
Your Impact
Reporting to the Finance Systems Manager, you will take ownership of critical financial platforms (ERP, EPM, BI) and drive continuous improvement. Your mission is to optimize business processes, ensure flawless data integrity, and lead system enhancements that boost organizational efficiency. You will work closely with senior finance stakeholders and IT teams to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions. This is a high-visibility role where your analytical insights will directly influence strategic decision-making and global process standardization.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of financial system projects: from requirements gathering and solution design to configuration, testing, and deployment. You will provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure strict compliance with SOX and internal controls. You will also develop comprehensive training materials and empower our global finance teams to leverage systems effectively. Furthermore, you will manage master data, perform advanced data analysis using SQL, and build dynamic dashboards that provide actionable insights to leadership.

Tanggung Jawab
- Serve as the primary functional and systems expert for core financial applications (e.g., Oracle EBS, Hyperion, OneStream), ensuring alignment with business processes, rules, and logic.
- Lead the full lifecycle of system enhancements, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline financial workflows, automate manual processes, and improve data quality.
- Manage financial master data integrity, perform complex data analysis using SQL, and develop insightful dashboards and reports for senior Finance leadership.
- Provide Tier 2/3 production support, troubleshoot complex system issues, and coordinate with IT and external vendors for timely resolution.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, user guides, and training materials; conduct training sessions for global finance users.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to standardize financial processes and ensure strict compliance with SOX, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new financial technologies to support business growth and scalability.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Finance Systems Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role within a multinational corporation.
- Deep understanding of financial processes and concepts (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Costing, FP&A).
- Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics). Experience with EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, OneStream) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying, analysis, and reporting. Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with finance and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a global team environment.
