As a Bulk Vessel Fitter, your primary responsibility will be to perform precision fitting, fabrication, and assembly of metal components. You will work from blueprints and technical drawings to cut, shape, and weld metals to repair or construct vessel parts. Safety is our top priority; you must be adept in using all relevant tools and safety equipment while complying with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, ISM Code, etc.).

Tanggung Jawab
- Perform fitting, alignment, and assembly of structural components (e.g., bulkheads, decks, hatch covers) on bulk vessels according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Carry out tack welding, welding, and grinding tasks to ensure structural integrity and compliance with maritime standards.
- Interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, and work instructions to determine job requirements and material specifications.
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repair of shipboard equipment, piping systems, and structural fittings.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with supervisors, ship officers, and other crew members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, HSE guidelines, and regulatory requirements (IMO, SOLAS, ISM).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and accounted for.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fitter, specifically in the maritime/shipbuilding industry.
- Proven experience working on Bulk Vessels or similar heavy structural environments.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Certification in Welding (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW) is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of ship repair processes, lock-out/tag-out, and permit-to-work systems.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
