About the Job
Google Cloud is seeking a talented and driven Forward Deployed Engineer II to join our Generative AI (GenAI) team. This is a unique opportunity to advance frontier AI by building production-level AI solutions for some of the worldâs largest and most innovative companies.
In this highly impactful customer-facing role, you will work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and real-world business applications. As a key technical partner for strategic customers in the APAC region, you will leverage your fluency in Vietnamese to deeply understand unique business requirements, architect complex systems, and deploy transformative Generative AI solutions using Google Cloudâs Vertex AI platform.
You will be the technical bridge between our customersâ most ambitious product visions and our foundational AI models, ensuring high-value, reliable, and scalable deployments. This role is critical in shaping how enterprises leverage AI for competitive advantage, requiring deep expertise in software engineering, machine learning, and cloud architectures, combined with exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Tanggung Jawab
- Partner closely with strategic enterprise customers in the APAC region to identify high-impact use cases for Generative AI and design tailored, production-ready solutions.
- Architect, develop, and deploy robust GenAI applications using Google Cloudâs Vertex AI, custom foundation models, and comprehensive MLOps pipelines.
- Conduct deep technical sessions with customer engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, optimize model performance (latency, cost, safety), and ensure seamless integration into existing systems.
- Rapidly prototype proofs-of-concept and technical validations to demonstrate the feasibility and business value of proposed GenAI solutions.
- Translate customer feedback and technical challenges into clear product requirements and feature suggestions for Googleâs GenAI product management teams.
- Act as a trusted advisor, educating customers on industry best practices for GenAI application development, prompt engineering, model evaluation, security, and Responsible AI.
- Develop and contribute to internal knowledge assets, reusable solution accelerators, and technical whitepapers to amplify impact across the wider Google Cloud ecosystem.
Kualifikasi
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software development with strong proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience building, evaluating, and deploying machine learning models or AI solutions in production environments (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, or Vertex AI).
- Experience working directly with external customers in a technical consulting, solutions architect, or forward deployed engineering capacity.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English is mandatory for effective engagement with local enterprise customers and global teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masterâs degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Deep experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and agentic frameworks.
- Experience with Google Cloud platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run) and microservices architectures.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to customer sites across the APAC region.
