As a Shop Drawing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into technical specifications that can be easily fabricated and installed. This freelance position offers flexibility while allowing you to work on diverse and exciting signage projects ranging from indoor branding to large-scale outdoor installations.
Our ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and building codes. You will be expected to deliver work that is not only accurate but also optimized for cost and efficiency.
Tanggung Jawab
- Create detailed shop drawings and fabrication layouts for various signage types, including LED, metal, acrylic, and vinyl signage.
- Interpret architectural plans, client briefs, and creative concepts into precise technical drawings using AutoCAD and CorelDRAW.
- Ensure all drawings strictly adhere to industry standards, client specifications, and local building codes in the Philippines.
- Collaborate closely with the fabrication and installation teams to troubleshoot design issues and ensure smooth production.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to achieve 100% accuracy before submission.
- Prepare comprehensive cutting lists, material schedules, and assembly guides for production teams.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and hardware based on project durability and aesthetic requirements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related Engineering field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in signage shop drawing, CAD drafting, or fabrication design.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, or Adobe Illustrator) is essential.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, CNC routing, and fabrication processes.
- Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Valid professional license or ID (if applicable) and a portfolio showcasing previous signage projects.
