Join Wood School's sustainable agriculture team as a Garden and Farm Hand in the lush landscapes of Gianyar, Bali. We're seeking a passionate individual to maintain our organic gardens, support daily farming operations, and facilitate hands-on learning experiences for international students. This role combines practical horticulture with educational outreach, allowing you to contribute to our mission of promoting eco-conscious living while working in Bali's natural beauty.
You'll nurture diverse plant species, implement sustainable farming techniques, and assist in developing curriculum for our gardening programs. Tanggung Jawab
- Maintain organic gardens and farm areas through planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting
- Implement sustainable farming practices including composting, pest management, and soil health
- Support gardening classes for foreign students through hands-on instruction
- Monitor plant growth and health, applying organic pest control methods
- Assist in seasonal crop planning and farm infrastructure maintenance
- Harvest and prepare produce for educational programs
- Collaborate with team to develop sustainable agriculture curriculum
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience in organic gardening or sustainable farming
- Knowledge of tropical plant species and growing conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor tasks in tropical climate
- Strong communication skills for guiding international students
- Basic understanding of permaculture principles and organic methods
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
