PY Konsep Perunding Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated professional to join our prestigious dam construction project located in the heart of Tenom, Sabah. This is a unique opportunity to gain extensive hands-on experience in large-scale civil engineering works while working alongside a team of industry experts.
As our Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, stability, and efficiency of dam-related infrastructure. You will be responsible for conducting site investigations, analyzing soil and rock samples, and providing technical guidance to ensure project success. Tanggung Jawab
- Plan and execute comprehensive geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
- Analyze geological data and soil mechanics to provide accurate recommendations for foundation design and slope stability.
- Monitor dam construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, interpret laboratory test results, and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and clients to resolve site-specific geotechnical challenges.
- Perform instrumentation monitoring and data interpretation to track long-term dam behavior.
- Ensure all engineering activities adhere to the relevant Malaysian Standard codes and safety regulations.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, preferably with dam or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and slope stabilization techniques.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, GeoStudio, or similar industry tools).
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems on-site.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Malay; capable of writing technical reports.
- Willingness to be stationed in Tenom, Sabah for the duration of the contract.
- Professional membership with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM/IEM) is highly desirable.
