ZEN SEVEN VENTURES is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our talented kitchen team at ELMONDO ITALIAN & WESTERN RESTAURANT in Bayan Baru, Penang. As Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, crafting exquisite menus, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, and inspiring a team of dedicated chefs. Your expertise will shape the dining experience, ensuring every dish reflects excellence and innovation.
We are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a wealth of culinary knowledge in Italian and Western cuisine. You will manage inventory, control costs, enforce strict food safety protocols, and collaborate with management to develop new concepts and seasonal offerings. This role demands a hands-on approach, strong organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and develop culinary talent. At ELMONDO ITALIAN & WESTERN RESTAURANT, we pride ourselves on delivering an unforgettable dining experience, and we need a Head Chef who shares that passion.
In return, we offer a competitive salary of RM4,800 to RM6,500 per month, a supportive work environment, and the chance to make a significant impact in a thriving restaurant. Tanggung Jawab
- Lead, mentor, and manage the kitchen team, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Design and develop innovative Italian and Western menus that appeal to our guest demographic.
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
- Oversee inventory management, supplier relationships, and cost control to achieve budgetary goals.
- Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and management to plan special events and promotions.
- Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Foster a positive, creative, and efficient kitchen culture focused on continuous improvement.
Kualifikasi
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in Italian, Western, or fine-dining cuisine.
- Exceptional culinary skills with a strong portfolio of menu development.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and optimize inventory.
- Relevant culinary degree or diploma (preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
