We are currently seeking a visionary and experienced professional to serve as the Head of Winds, School of Music. This is a leadership role that offers the opportunity to shape the future of music education, drive academic excellence, and inspire the next generation of world-class musicians. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the strategic management of the winds department, ensuring a world-class learning environment that prepares students for professional success in the global music industry.
In this key position, you will lead a team of dedicated faculty members, curate a comprehensive performance curriculum, and oversee the administration of the department. You will have the autonomy to innovate and the responsibility to maintain NAFA’s high standards of artistic and academic excellence. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and implement the strategic vision, policies, and operational goals for the Winds Department.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-caliber faculty team, providing ongoing professional development.
- Oversee the design and delivery of a rigorous, innovative curriculum aligned with industry standards.
- Direct and adjudicate student wind ensembles, chamber groups, and solo performances.
- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and facility maintenance to ensure optimal learning conditions.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive departmental culture that encourages artistic growth and innovation.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with professional orchestras, music organizations, and cultural institutions.
Kualifikasi
- Master’s Degree in Music (M.Mus) or equivalent, with a specialization in Woodwinds (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone).
- Extensive professional performance experience, ideally as a soloist or principal player with a recognized orchestra or ensemble.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic or artistic administrative setting.
- Strong pedagogical skills with a proven track record of mentoring and educating students at tertiary level.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
