Are you passionate about creating safe work environments? Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad is currently looking for a qualified Health & Safety Officer to join our team in Kuantan, Pahang. This is a contract/temporary position offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our commitment to operational excellence and workplace safety.
In this role, you will play a critical part in implementing and maintaining our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management systems. You will be the guardian of our workforce, ensuring that all activities comply with local regulations such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994. If you have a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach to risk management, we want to hear from you.
Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure full compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate and conduct safety induction training and toolbox talks for new and existing employees.
- Monitor and maintain the availability and functionality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, training logs, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a strong safety culture across all departments.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possession of a valid NEBOSH or OSHA Certificate is a strong advantage.
- At least 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar HSE role within the construction or industrial sector.
- Thorough knowledge of Malaysian OSHA Act 1994 and environmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and influence staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
