We are a leading organization in the Mining, Resources & Energy sector, currently seeking a skilled and dedicated HSE Officer to join our team for a project-based assignment in Linglingay, Gamu, Isabela. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring workplace safety, full regulatory compliance, and the effective implementation of HSE policies across all operations.
As the HSE Officer, you will play a key part in fostering a strong safety culture, conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance. You will collaborate with all levels of the organization to maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting with corrective actions.
- Deliver HSE training programs to employees and contractors.
- Monitor compliance with local and national environmental and safety regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct drills.
- Advise management on HSE improvements and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of HSE experience, preferably in mining, energy, or heavy industry.
- Professional HSE certification (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine OHS and environmental laws.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and HSE management software.
- Willingness to work on a project basis in Gamu, Isabela.
