Career Opportunity: Inspector of Works (Civil & Structural)

In line with our expanding portfolio of projects in Northern Perak, we are actively seeking two (2) dedicated and experienced professionals to fill the role of Inspector of Works (Civil & Structural) for our projects located in Tapah Road and Bagan Serai, Perak.
As an Inspector of Works, you will be the critical on-site representative ensuring that all civil and structural works are executed meticulously in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, building by-laws, and contractual requirements. You will report directly to the Project Architect and work closely with the Project Team, Main Contractors, and local authorities to oversee site progress, quality control, and safety compliance. Tanggung Jawab
- Supervise and monitor all civil and structural works to ensure strict compliance with contract drawings, specifications, and building by-laws.
- Conduct thorough daily site inspections and document work progress, material quality, and workmanship standards.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly site reports and progress updates for project stakeholders.
- Liaise directly with Project Architects, Consultants, Main Contractors, and relevant authorities to resolve site issues.
- Verify contractors' work quantities for progress claims and evaluate variations.
- Identify non-conformance issues, recommend corrective measures, and oversee implementation.
- Maintain a detailed site diary and organized photographic records of the project lifecycle.
- Enforce strict compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) regulations and environmental standards.
Kualifikasi
- Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Inspector of Works (IOW) for building or infrastructure projects in Malaysia.
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or relevant professional body is highly advantageous.
- Deep understanding of construction methodology, local materials, and relevant standards (MS, BS, Eurocodes).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English, with strong reporting skills.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team, based at site locations in Tapah Road & Bagan Serai.
- Possess valid CIDB certification for IOW or willingness to obtain.
