Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd (SLNG) operates Singapore's first and only LNG terminal, a critical national asset ensuring the nation's energy security. We are looking for a motivated and curious undergraduate to join our Instrument & Electrical (I&E) team as an Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-potential student to gain deep technical exposure to the full lifecycle of I&E equipment within a live, operational environment. You will be mentored by industry experts and involved in projects that directly impact the reliability and efficiency of our terminal.
During your internship, you will go beyond theoretical knowledge. You will participate in daily plant operations, gaining hands-on experience with advanced instrumentation, safety systems, and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. From contributing to shutdown planning to performing detailed technical analysis, your work will be meaningful and impactful. Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in the preventive and corrective maintenance of field instruments, control valves, and electrical equipment.
- Support the troubleshooting of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
- Participate in the inspection and testing of HV/LV switchgears, transformers, motors, and variable speed drives.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, maintenance procedures, and job safety analyses.
- Assist in the management of spare parts inventory for I&E equipment.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on small-scale improvement projects and root cause analysis.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and SLNG's quality standards.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electrical circuits, control systems, and instrumentation principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Familiarity with CMMS software is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- A high level of safety awareness and a proactive attitude towards learning.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous internship experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or power generation industry is advantageous.
