Are you a proactive engineering student eager to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world industrial innovation? WS Audiology is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing (Smart Lean) Intern to join our Singapore-based operations. In this role, you will be at the heart of our production facility, working closely with experienced engineers to implement Smart Lean initiatives that drive efficiency, digitalization, and operational excellence.
As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to optimizing production flows, reducing waste, and integrating smart technologies into our manufacturing processes. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in one of the world's leading hearing aid manufacturing environments, where precision and innovation meet at scale. You will work on live projects that directly impact the shopfloor productivity and quality benchmarks.
Tanggung Jawab
- Support the engineering team in identifying and eliminating production bottlenecks through Lean methodologies.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize manufacturing data to support Smart Lean initiatives and decision-making.
- Assist in the design and implementation of automated or smart monitoring solutions on the production line.
- Participate in Kaizen events and process improvement workshops to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct time-and-motion studies to optimize assembly sequences and workstation ergonomics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to digitize manual reporting processes.
- Maintain documentation for new processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical improvements.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a foundational understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with production management software or basic programming/automation concepts (e.g., Python, Arduino, or PLC basics).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights.
- A curious, hands-on mindset with a strong desire to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Ability to commit to an internship duration of at least 3-6 months.
