Hong Leong Bank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Procurement team, focusing on Vendor Due Diligence. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate procurement processes and vendor management within one of Malaysia's leading financial institutions.
As an intern in Vendor Due Diligence, you will work closely with the procurement team to support the evaluation and assessment of potential vendors. This role provides exposure to various aspects of vendor management, including compliance checks, risk assessment, and documentation processes that are critical to maintaining our bank's operational standards.
This position is ideal for students or recent graduates who are eager to develop their career in procurement, supply chain management, or business administration. You will gain practical industry experience while contributing to meaningful projects that support Hong Leong Bank's vendor ecosystem.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in conducting vendor due diligence assessments and background checks on potential suppliers
- Support the procurement team in reviewing and verifying vendor documentation, including business licenses, certifications, and financial statements
- Help maintain and update vendor records and databases with accurate information
- Participate in vendor evaluation meetings and take detailed notes for follow-up actions
- Assist in preparing vendor assessment reports and documentation for management review
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather required vendor information and supporting documents
- Support the team in identifying potential compliance issues and flagging them for review
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the vendor due diligence function
Kualifikasi
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze and verify complex documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Prior experience in procurement, administration, or banking would be an advantage
