Renesas is a global leader in electronics, providing advanced semiconductor solutions for automotive, industrial, IoT, and more. Our Product & Test Engineering team in Bayan Lepas, Penang is seeking a motivated intern to join us for a six-month internship program, intake Q3 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product and test engineering, supporting the development and characterization of semiconductor devices.
As an intern, you will work alongside experienced engineers and be involved in real-world projects that directly impact our products. Your responsibilities will include assisting in test program development, performing data analysis for yield improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues. You will gain exposure to state-of-the-art automated test equipment (ATE) and industry-standard methodologies.
This internship is designed to provide a solid foundation in semiconductor engineering. You will sharpen your technical skills, enhance your problem-solving abilities, and build professional experience in a global company. The program is full-time for six months and offers a supportive environment where learning and development are prioritized.

Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in the development and validation of test programs for semiconductor devices using automated test equipment (ATE).
- Support product engineering activities including characterization, yield analysis, and datalog review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug test-related issues and optimize test flows.
- Perform statistical analysis of test data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Document test procedures, results, and engineering reports.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas for product and test enhancement.
- Aid in the setup and maintenance of test hardware and software tools.
Kualifikasi
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Strong academic record and interest in semiconductor technology.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, digital/analog circuits, and testing principles.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C, Python, or LabVIEW is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Available for a full-time six-month internship starting Q3 2026.
