Join Microchip Technology as an IT Systems Engineer specializing in Software Asset Management (SAM) and drive strategic optimization of our software portfolio. In this critical mid-senior role, you'll safeguard our digital assets by implementing robust SAM lifecycle processes, ensuring license compliance across global operations, and maximizing ROI through strategic procurement. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate asset discovery, manage vendor relationships, and generate actionable compliance reports that mitigate legal risks while controlling costs. Tanggung Jawab
- End-to-end management of software asset lifecycle including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement
- Conduct comprehensive software license audits and compliance assessments across all business units
- Develop and implement SAM policies, procedures, and automation workflows
- Optimize software procurement strategies through vendor negotiations and license optimization
- Generate compliance reports and analytics for executive stakeholders and external audits
- Integrate SAM tools with existing IT infrastructure (CMDB, ITSM systems)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve software governance and cost efficiency
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3-5+ years of experience in software asset management or IT asset management
- Expertise in software licensing models (OEM, volume licensing, subscription-based)
- Proficiency with SAM tools (FlexNet, Snow, ManageEngine, or equivalent)
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and IT governance frameworks
- Certifications (SAM, ITAM, or ITIL) preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex licensing agreements
