The Diagnostics Development (DxD) Hub at A*STAR is seeking a driven Junior Systems Engineer to join our innovative Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) team. In this role, you will be at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and clinical application, helping to bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and commercial medical solutions.
As a Junior Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of robust software architectures. You will work alongside multidisciplinary teams of scientists and clinicians to integrate AI models into medical diagnostic workflows. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to regulatory standards, high-performance computing, and the end-to-end lifecycle of medical device software development within Singapore's premier national research agency.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist in the design and documentation of system architectures for medical device software (SaMD).
- Develop, test, and integrate AI/ML models into clinical diagnostic platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, data scientists, and clinical researchers.
- Support the lifecycle management of medical software, ensuring compliance with international quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 62304).
- Perform system troubleshooting, performance tuning, and software maintenance to ensure high availability.
- Participate in peer code reviews and architectural design discussions to uphold engineering excellence.
- Document technical specifications and assist in preparing regulatory submission materials.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Foundational knowledge of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and version control systems like Git.
- Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a keen interest in medical diagnostics and healthcare technology.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Prior experience or coursework related to regulated environments or healthcare compliance is a significant advantage.
