- Ensure all dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, including industrial dishwashers and sanitizers, ensuring optimal performance.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, walls, storage rooms, and waste disposal zones.
- Assist the culinary team with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, or portioning ingredients, as directed.
- Manage waste disposal efficiently, ensuring proper segregation and timely removal of trash and recyclables accordings to established protocols.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen supervisor promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all established food safety, hygiene, and health regulations and standards.
- Support other kitchen staff with various tasks as needed to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
Kualifikasi
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Helper, Steward, Dishwasher, or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is a significant advantage.
- Solid understanding of kitchen hygiene practices and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to operate and maintain standard kitchen cleaning equipment effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to stand for long periods, lift heavy items (up to 25kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a meticulously clean and organized workspace.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by business needs.
