Tanggung Jawab
- Perform installation, termination, and testing of high-density fiber optic cabling within data centre environments.
- Execute planned preventative maintenance and reactive troubleshooting on fiber optic infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve fiber connectivity issues, including OTDR testing, power meter readings, and fault location.
- Ensure all cabling installations adhere to industry best practices, safety standards, and client specifications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cable routes, network diagrams, and service records.
- Collaborate with network engineers and other technicians to implement and optimize data centre connectivity solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance on fiber optic related matters.
- Participate in cross-functional teams for project deployment and upgrades.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Fiber Technician, specifically within data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
- Solid expertise in high-density fiber structured cabling, including various connector types (LC, SC, MPO/MTP).
- Proficiency in using fiber optic testing equipment such as OTDRs, power meters, and light sources.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic principles, network topologies, and industry standards (e.g., TIA/EIA).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., FOA CFOT, BICSI Installer 2, or equivalent) are highly advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
