Tanggung Jawab
- Safely and efficiently secure and unsecure containers and cargo on board vessels using lashing rods, twist locks, and other designated equipment.
- Perform pre-operational checks and inspect lashing gear and equipment for defects, reporting any issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and workplace safety and health (WSH) guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with crane operators, vessel crew, and fellow lashing specialists to ensure smooth and coordinated operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding operational progress, challenges, and safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring equipment is stored correctly after use.
- Respond promptly to operational demands and adapt to changing conditions and schedules.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum GCE 'N' Level or equivalent; relevant NTC/ITC certification in logistics or marine operations is a plus.
- Prior experience in port operations, stevedoring, container lashing, or a similar heavy industrial environment is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated strong commitment to workplace safety and health.
- Physically fit and able to withstand working outdoors in various weather conditions and perform strenuous tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and follow instructions accurately.
- Possess good observational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required by port operations.
- Basic understanding of maritime safety rules and cargo securing principles is preferred.
