The successful candidate will take full ownership of the piping engineering scope, overseeing a talented team of designers, draftsmen, and junior engineers to ensure technical excellence, budget adherence, and strict schedule compliance.

As the Lead Piping Engineer, you will serve as the technical authority on all aspects of piping design, stress analysis, and installation. You will coordinate closely with the project management team, procurement, and clients to resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure seamless integration with other work packages. This role demands an in-depth understanding of international piping codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3, API), material specifications (carbon steel, stainless steel, HDPE), welding procedures, and construction methodology specific to the local context.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead the piping engineering team, providing technical direction and mentorship for design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Review and approve detailed engineering deliverables including P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics, support details, and material take-offs.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, industry codes, and statutory regulations (WSH Act).
- Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical disciplines to ensure clash-free and integrated designs.
- Manage the technical evaluation of vendor bids and oversee factory acceptance tests for critical equipment.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality, progress, and adherence to approved drawings and safety protocols.
- Prepare and present technical reports and progress updates to Project Directors and Clients.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to build team capability and technical depth.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognized by the PE Board.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in piping engineering within a Main Contractor, EPC, or consulting environment.
- At least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role managing a team of engineers/draftsmen.
- Strong proficiency in piping design software (AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS/E3D, Caesar II, Navisworks).
- Thorough knowledge of ASME, API, and ANSI piping standards.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
