Join the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) as a Lead Research Engineer within the Institute of Microelectronics (IME). We are seeking a highly skilled technical leader to drive innovation in semiconductor manufacturing and fabrication processes.
In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of dedicated equipment engineers to optimize FAB performance, troubleshoot complex hardware issues, and implement advanced process control strategies. You will work at the cutting edge of microelectronics research, playing a key role in reducing operational costs while enhancing throughput and reliability in a state-of-the-art cleanroom environment.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and mentor a team of equipment engineers to ensure optimal FAB tool availability and performance.
- Design and execute equipment improvement projects to enhance yield and throughput.
- Perform root-cause analysis on complex equipment failures and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional process integration teams to support new technology development.
- Drive cost-reduction initiatives through spare parts management and equipment efficiency upgrades.
- Oversee vendor management, including maintenance contracts and technical support escalation.
- Maintain compliance with strict cleanroom safety protocols and operational standards.
Kualifikasi
- Master’s or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor FAB equipment engineering.
- Proven expertise in lithography, etch, deposition, or metrology tool sets.
- Strong background in hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance strategies.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing technical teams or complex engineering projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (JMP, Python, or SQL) for equipment performance monitoring.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, research-oriented environment.
