Legal Compliance Officer (Mandarin Speaker) – Sherman Mineral Indonesia

In this critical role, you will be the cornerstone of our corporate governance framework, ensuring that all company operations adhere to Indonesian laws, industry regulations, and internal policies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to identify compliance risks, develop mitigation strategies, and foster a culture of integrity across the organization.

Tanggung Jawab
- Monitor and ensure all company operations comply with applicable Indonesian laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust compliance programs and standard operating procedures
- Conduct regular compliance audits, risk assessments, and due diligence reviews across all departments
- Review, draft, and manage legal documents including contracts, agreements, and corporate filings
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external legal counsel
- Translate and interpret legal and compliance documents between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Indonesia
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports and present findings to senior management and the Board of Directors
- Stay current with legislative changes, particularly in mining, environmental, and corporate regulations, and advise the company on necessary adjustments
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's degree in Law (S.H.) from an accredited university; Master's degree or professional certification is a plus
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in legal compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs, preferably in the mining or natural resources industry
- Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken) is mandatory; proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia is required
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian regulatory frameworks, including mining law (UU Minerba), corporate law, and environmental regulations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cultures and levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases
