PERSOL is currently seeking a highly skilled Linux/HPC Engineer to join our dynamic team on a yearly renewable contract basis. As an HPC Engineer, you will work closely with research and development teams to optimize system throughput and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues. Tanggung Jawab
- Deploy, configure, and maintain large-scale Linux server clusters for high-performance computing tasks.
- Monitor system performance, perform capacity planning, and implement optimizations to reduce latency and improve throughput.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ansible.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support to researchers and end-users regarding cluster access and compute job submissions.
- Manage storage systems (Lustre/GPFS) and network configurations essential for HPC operations.
- Maintain system security compliance, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and access control.
- Document system architectures, configurations, and incident response procedures for knowledge sharing.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS preferred).
- Proven experience working in an HPC (High-Performance Computing) environment with job schedulers (Slurm, PBS, or LSF).
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform).
- Solid understanding of parallel file systems and network protocols (InfiniBand/Ethernet).
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Singularity, or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
