Lai Yew Seng Pte Ltd is currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Lorry Driver to join our dynamic logistics and transport team based in Toa Payoh. As an integral part of our daily operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods and materials across Singapore. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our supply chain, bridging the gap between our facilities and our clients. You will work closely with the warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure that all deliveries are handled with care and reach their destinations on schedule. Tanggung Jawab
- Safely transport goods and materials to various locations across Singapore following assigned schedules.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in optimal working condition.
- Secure all cargo properly using ropes, straps, or nets to prevent damage during transit.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of items, ensuring accurate inventory counts against delivery orders.
- Maintain clear and accurate delivery logs, including timestamps and recipient signatures.
- Adhere strictly to all Land Transport Authority (LTA) regulations and traffic safety laws.
- Report any vehicle faults, accidents, or delays immediately to the supervisor or dispatch office.
- Keep the company vehicle clean and well-maintained at all times.
Kualifikasi
- Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License (Class 4 is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Lorry Driver or in a similar delivery role.
- Clean driving record with no significant traffic demerit points.
- Familiarity with Singapore’s major expressways and arterial roads.
- Ability to use GPS navigation tools and mobile communication applications effectively.
- Physical fitness and ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks as required.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and a professional work ethic.
- Basic communication skills in English to coordinate with the team and customers.
