IJM Corporation Berhad, a leading player in the Malaysian construction industry, is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced M&E Estimator to join our prestigious projects in Elmina, Selangor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial success and accuracy of our Mechanical and Electrical engineering operations.
As an M&E Estimator, you will be responsible for translating complex technical requirements into precise financial forecasts. You will play a key role in the pre-construction phase, collaborating closely with project managers, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver competitive tender bids. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems from architectural and engineering drawings.
- Prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender pricing documentation for diverse construction projects.
- Analyze tender requirements and request quotations from specialized subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Conduct comparative analysis of vendor quotations to ensure cost-efficiency and technical compliance.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts for M&E installations.
- Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to understand project scope and potential site constraints.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to finalize material specifications and supply chain logistics.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in M&E estimation within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical M&E blueprints and schematics.
- Strong working knowledge of industry-standard estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and market pricing for M&E components.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight tender deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
