Sam Hwa Steel is a recognized name in the steel manufacturing industry, dedicated to operational excellence, quality assurance, and workplace safety. We are actively seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Executive or Senior Maintenance Executive to join our manufacturing facility in Pasir Gudang, Johor. In this role, you will play a critical part in helping and supporting the Maintenance Manager to ensure all production activities run smoothly, safely, and with minimal disruption.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will oversee day-to-day machinery health, coordinate preventive measures, and lead troubleshooting efforts on the factory floor. This role offers an exceptional platform for technical professionals to apply their engineering expertise, manage on-site technicians, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy-industry environment.
Tanggung Jawab
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and external contractors, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently and safely.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of critical spare parts, raising purchase requisitions when necessary to avoid stockouts.
- Analyze machine breakdown trends and propose technical solutions or modifications to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including machine maintenance logs, equipment manuals, and shift handover reports.
- Enforce strict compliance with occupational safety and health (OSHA) regulations and environmental standards within the plant.
Kualifikasi
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- At least 2 to 5 years of working experience in factory maintenance, preferably within heavy manufacturing or the steel industry.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and electrical panels.
- Familiarity with PLC systems, automation, and basic welding/fabrication is a strong advantage.
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good leadership and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
- Willingness to work in Pasir Gudang, Johor, and support emergency breakdown calls if required.
