This is a high-visibility role within a multinational environment known for its engineering excellence, stringent safety standards, and commitment to sustainability. As the Maintenance Manager, you will hold a critical leadership position, directly reporting to the Plant Manager and managing a sizable team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians. Your primary mission will be to drive world-class asset reliability, optimize maintenance costs, and ensure seamless plant operations to meet production targets.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance strategies, from preventive and predictive maintenance (PdM) to TPM and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM). You will champion the use of the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module to track KPIs such as MTBF, MTTR, and OEE, enabling data-driven decision making. Leading root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implementing robust corrective actions will be key to your success. The position offers excellent exposure to continuous improvement projects, capital planning, and interactions with global engineering teams in Europe.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering background, deep knowledge of oleochemicals or related chemical process equipment (e.g., high-pressure reactors, distillation columns, evaporators, hydrogenation units, boilers, and utilities), and a proven track record in a managerial role. You must be a strong communicator and leader, able to influence across departments and drive a culture of zero harm.
This role is based in Pasir Gudang, Johor, which offers excellent connectivity to both Singapore and the rest of Malaysia. The company provides a competitive management package, including a base salary of up to RM 13,000, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
