Join the dynamic team at ByteDance as a Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will be embedded directly within client environments to lead a squad of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs). Your primary mission will be to rapidly develop, debug, and deploy cutting-edge AI applications that solve real-world business problems. You will act as the technical bridge between client needs and engineering execution, ensuring high-quality product delivery in fast-paced scenarios. We are looking for a visionary leader who can manage a team of engineers while independently driving complex technical initiatives in AI and machine learning.
As a Manager, you will define technical strategies, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that our AI solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with industry best practices. You will work closely with product managers and clients to translate business requirements into technical specifications, delivering value that drives user growth and engagement. - Lead and mentor a team of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to deliver high-impact AI solutions and technical roadmaps.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable technical strategies.
- Architect and implement scalable AI models, machine learning pipelines, and full-stack applications in production environments.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews, technical design discussions, and performance optimization sessions.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables within a fast-paced agile environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), to propose innovative solutions.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or Go.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including NLP, Computer Vision, or Reinforcement Learning.
- Proven experience in system design and architecture for large-scale distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional team setting.
