The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is looking for a strategic and dynamic Manager or Senior Manager to join our team within the Experimental Therapeutics Development Consortium (ETDC). In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in developing Singapore's drug ecosystem by spearheading business development initiatives and managing high-value alliances.
As a leader in our Business Development and Alliance Management unit, you will bridge the gap between scientific research and commercial application. You will work alongside a driven team of experts to identify, evaluate, and secure partnerships that accelerate the translation of breakthrough therapies into viable treatments. Tanggung Jawab
- Spearhead the development and execution of strategic business development initiatives to expand the consortium's therapeutic portfolio and market reach.
- Manage and cultivate high-value alliances with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, venture capitalists, and academic institutions.
- Identify new market opportunities and assess the commercial viability of emerging technologies and therapeutic platforms.
- Negotiate and structure complex commercial agreements, including licensing deals, collaborations, and research funding agreements.
- Act as a primary liaison between internal R&D teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and project milestones.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of partnerships, from initial prospecting and due diligence to contract renewal or termination.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in Business Development, Alliance Management, or Strategic Partnerships within the life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully closing partnerships, managing negotiations, and driving revenue growth.
- Strong network of contacts within the global biotech and pharma ecosystem.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
