We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager or Senior Manager to join the Institute of Bioengineering and Bioimaging (IBB) under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). In this pivotal role, you will drive ecosystem growth and foster technological innovation by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and commercial applications.
As a key member of our business development team, you will be responsible for formulating and executing strategies that enhance our footprint in the tech landscape. You will identify new business opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships with industry players, and champion the commercialization of our scientific breakthroughs. - Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies to expand the organization's ecosystem and market presence.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with industry leaders, government agencies, and research institutions.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, including licensing, joint ventures, and technology commercialization.
- Represent the organization at high-level conferences, forums, and networking events to build brand awareness.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth vectors.
- Lead negotiations and manage stakeholder relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Collaborate with technical teams to translate research capabilities into compelling business propositions.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related technical field; Master’s degree or PhD is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in business development, ecosystem building, or technology transfer.
- Strong track record of successfully managing partnerships and driving commercial outcomes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Deep understanding of the biotechnology, medical technology, or engineering sectors in Singapore.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior team members and cross-functional teams.
