Are you a fluent Mandarin speaker looking to play a pivotal role in the development of infrastructure? Feni Haltim is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mandarin Translator to join our team in Halmahera. We are currently executing significant civil construction projects, and we require a dedicated professional to bridge the linguistic gap between our Chinese stakeholders and our local Indonesian workforce. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your language expertise in a dynamic, hands-on environment where your work directly impacts the safety and efficiency of construction operations.
In this role, you will serve as the primary communication link, ensuring that technical information, safety protocols, and project updates are accurately conveyed across all parties. You will be responsible for facilitating clear understanding of complex construction plans and fostering strong relationships between international investors and local project teams. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide real-time interpretation (simultaneous and consecutive) during site meetings, site inspections, and project planning sessions.
- Translate and proofread technical documents, including blueprints, contracts, safety manuals, and correspondence, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Assist in resolving cross-cultural communication barriers to prevent misunderstandings that could impact project timelines.
- Liaise between Chinese management and local laborers/engineers to ensure clarity in daily operations.
- Facilitate effective communication during safety briefings and quality control reviews.
- Conduct cultural training sessions for the local team to enhance collaboration with Chinese partners.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field (Engineering or Construction background is a strong plus).
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.
- Strong command of Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in professional translation or interpretation, preferably within the construction or engineering sector.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to a fast-paced construction schedule.
