Wuhuan Engineering Co.,Ltd. is a leading global construction firm currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly proficient Mandarin Translator to join our project team in Gresik, East Java. In this role, you will serve as a critical communication bridge between our international engineering experts and the local site workforce. Your work will directly impact the efficiency, safety, and operational success of our large-scale construction activities.
The ideal candidate will possess not only fluency in Mandarin and Indonesian but also a foundational understanding of construction terminology to ensure technical accuracy in all communications. You will be embedded in a fast-paced environment where your ability to translate in real-time will facilitate project milestones and ensure site safety protocols are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
Tanggung Jawab
- Provide accurate, real-time verbal interpretation during daily site construction activities and coordination meetings.
- Translate technical documentation, site reports, and safety briefings from Mandarin to Indonesian and vice versa.
- Assist project managers and engineers in communicating instructions to the local labor force to ensure project alignment.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication during high-stakes safety briefings and risk assessment meetings.
- Maintain records of translated documents and ensure all technical terminology remains consistent throughout the project duration.
- Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge to resolve misunderstandings and promote harmonious collaboration on the construction site.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to maintain project documentation flow.
Kualifikasi
- Minimum Diploma degree in Chinese Literature, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven proficiency in both Mandarin (HSK 5/6 level or equivalent) and Indonesian (verbal and written).
- Previous experience in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Highly reliable, disciplined, and capable of working in an on-site construction environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work effectively under pressure.
- Good understanding of professional office software and translation tools.
