GBM Electronics, a leading provider in the electronics manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Manufacturing Engineer (ME) to join our expanding team in Chemor, Perak. This role is critical in supporting our PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) manufacturing operations, including process setup, continuous improvement initiatives, and the resolution of complex quality issues.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will act as the primary technical authority on the production floor. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies will be key in driving a culture of excellence within our facility.

Tanggung Jawab
- Establish, monitor, and optimize PCBA manufacturing processes (including SMT, Through-Hole, and Wave Soldering) to maximize efficiency and product yield.
- Lead process validation activities by developing and maintaining PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.
- Perform in-depth root cause analysis on manufacturing defects and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with design teams during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles are applied.
- Drive continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies to reduce waste and variation.
- Manage and optimize manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and tooling to ensure peak operational performance and minimal downtime.
- Create and maintain accurate process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Provide hands-on technical training and mentorship to production technicians and operators to elevate team competency.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in PCBA manufacturing engineering within the electronics industry.
- Strong technical understanding of SMT, Wave Soldering, Selective Soldering, and Box Build assembly processes.
- Practitioner-level knowledge of quality and problem-solving tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D, RCA, and Ishikawa (Fishbone) analysis.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management system requirements is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for tooling and fixture design is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage for stakeholder management.
