Molex, a globally recognized leader in electronic interconnect solutions, invites applications for the pivotal role of Manufacturing Manager (SMT) to drive our operations in the vibrant industrial hub of Perai, Penang. In this key leadership position, you will assume full ownership of the SMT manufacturing floor. Your responsibilities will encompass the strategic oversight of production lines, ensuring optimal throughput, zero-defect quality, and adherence to global standards. You will champion lean manufacturing principles, leveraging Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and enhance process capability across all SMT processes including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and automated optical inspection (AOI). A key focus will be the qualification and optimization of new SMT equipment and processes.
Collaboration is at the heart of our success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, R&D, and Process Engineering to launch new products (NPI) and resolve complex technical challenges. Mentoring and developing your team will be a critical aspect of the role, fostering a culture of technical excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. You will report directly to the Plant Manager and serve as a key contributor to the site's strategic roadmap, driving KPIs related to OEE, cycle time, and yield.

Tanggung Jawab
- Lead and manage the SMT manufacturing team, including supervisors, process engineers, and technicians, to achieve production targets and quality standards.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the SMT department, focusing on capacity, capability, and cost optimization.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies to enhance OEE, reduce scrap, and improve cycle times.
- Oversee the daily operations of SMT lines, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, wave soldering, and inspection processes.
- Manage New Product Introductions (NPI) from a manufacturing perspective, ensuring seamless transitions from prototype to mass production.
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC), implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with global engineering teams to standardize processes and adopt best-in-class SMT technologies.
- Ensure full compliance with ISO standards, IPC standards, and customer-specific requirements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in SMT manufacturing within the electronics industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Proven track record in leading lean transformation and implementing Six Sigma projects (Green Belt or Black Belt certified preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (e.g., Fuji, Panasonic, ASM), materials, and quality standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience managing diverse, cross-cultural teams.
- Experience in managing factory budgets, headcount planning, and cost reduction programs.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MES platforms is highly desirable.
