Octomate is a leading semiconductor support company currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a 2-year contract position in the East Region. In this hands-on role, you will perform equipment assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs to support our production line. You will work with cutting-edge technology and ensure that all equipment operates at peak efficiency.
Your key responsibilities include setting up and calibrating machinery, diagnosing faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and maintaining accurate service records. You will collaborate closely with engineers and production staff to resolve technical issues and implement process improvements. Safety compliance and adherence to ISO standards are integral to your daily work.
The ideal candidate possesses a diploma in engineering or equivalent and has at least 2 years of experience as a technician in the semiconductor or manufacturing sector. You should be proficient in reading schematics, using test equipment, and troubleshooting electronic/mechanical systems. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential.

- Assemble and install semiconductor manufacturing equipment according to technical specifications.
- Conduct functional testing, calibration, and validation of equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Maintain detailed logs of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Liaise with engineering team to improve equipment performance and process efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Assist in equipment upgrades and new installations as required.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Min 2 years of relevant experience as a technician in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts if required.
