Job Overview
AlwaysHired is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Marine Mechanical Technician to join our engineering team in the West Region of Singapore. As a Marine Mechanical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of marine equipment. You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and assembling mechanical components in a well-equipped workshop environment. Your work will directly support the daily operations and maintenance of various marine vessels and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect mechanical parts and systems to identify defects and determine required repairs.
- Perform disassembly, repair, and reassembly of marine mechanical equipment.
- Conduct basic testing and diagnostics to ensure proper functionality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Support daily operations and assist in inventory management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a marine mechanical technician or similar role.
- Proficiency in mechanical assembly, repair, and testing.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Knowledge of maritime safety standards and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., MPA, STCW) is an advantage.
