As a Market Data Service Engineer, you will play a key role in our operations team, handling Level 1 and Level 2 support while leveraging scripting to automate complex data workflows. Your expertise will help us maintain high availability for our clients, ensuring they never miss a beat in the fast-moving financial markets. Tanggung Jawab
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for market data terminals and feeds, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of connectivity issues.
- Develop and maintain scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) to automate data ingestion, validation, and distribution processes.
- Monitor market data feeds in real-time to detect anomalies, latency issues, or data corruption.
- Collaborate with trading desks and internal stakeholders to optimize data workflows and resolve user-reported issues efficiently.
- Perform regular system backups, patch management, and configuration updates for market data servers.
- Document troubleshooting procedures and create knowledge base articles to support the wider engineering team.
- Stay updated with industry standards and new market data technologies to recommend process improvements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in L1/L2 technical support within a financial or IT environment.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and socket programming.
- Familiarity with FIX protocols, OMM (Open Message Model), or other market data standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
