Mechanic Tugboat (Yanmar & Mitsubishi)

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tugboat Mechanic to join our maritime operations team in Jakarta Utara. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the thorough inspection, routine maintenance, and major repairs of our fleet, with a specific focus on Yanmar and Mitsubishi engines. You will ensure the operational efficiency and safety of our vessels, working closely with management to document technical activities and resolve maintenance issues. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of tugboat engines, hydraulic systems, and propulsion units to identify wear, tear, or potential failures.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and overhauls on Yanmar and Mitsubishi marine engines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults on board the vessel.
• Prepare and submit detailed maintenance reports, work logs, and technical summaries for management review.
• Ensure strict adherence to all maritime safety regulations, environmental compliance standards, and company protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with the ship's crew and management to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Marine Engineering or a related technical field.
• Valid certification as a Tugboat Mechanic or Marine Engineer.
• Proven experience specifically with Yanmar and Mitsubishi marine engines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions on the water.
