Join Jacobs as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Fire Systems and Hydraulics, where you will play a pivotal role in designing advanced mechanical and HVAC systems for modern data centers. In this position, you will define critical design criteria, develop detailed airflow diagrams (AFDs), and create comprehensive Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure maximum efficiency and thermal management in air- and water-cooled environments.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can translate complex engineering requirements into robust system designs. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and environmental regulations while optimizing operational performance.
Tanggung Jawab
- Design mechanical and HVAC systems specifically tailored for air- and water-cooled data center environments.
- Develop and review detailed airflow diagrams (AFDs) and P&IDs to optimize thermal performance.
- Define and validate design criteria in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and system sizing for fire suppression and water cooling applications.
- Ensure all designs comply with local fire safety regulations and engineering best practices.
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to deliver designs on time and within budget.
- Perform site inspections and technical assessments to verify system integrity and performance.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, HVAC, or data center infrastructure.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD tools.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, sprinkler hydraulics, and specialized data center cooling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
