Our client, a well-known company in the rail and transportation sector, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in maintenance to join their team in the North Region. This role is critical in ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of the train fleet.
As a Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance / Trains), you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical integrity and performance of rolling stock. You will lead a team of technicians, develop robust maintenance schedules, and implement engineering solutions to minimize downtime and optimize asset reliability. In this highly visible role, you will work closely with the engineering and operations teams to drive reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies. You will be responsible for analyzing fleet performance data, identifying trends, and recommending engineering modifications to improve asset life and reduce lifecycle costs.

Tanggung Jawab
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for train mechanical systems, including engines, braking systems, pneumatics, and HVAC.
- Lead root cause analysis for complex mechanical failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Supervise, mentor, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, operational procedures, and engineering standards.
- Manage the inventory of engineering spare parts, optimizing stock levels and reducing procurement costs.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maintenance records, and audit documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Safety, Quality) to improve fleet reliability and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or TPM.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within the railway, heavy vehicle, or similar heavy industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and electrical/mechanical interfaces.
- Proven experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and planned maintenance optimization.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and ISO standards.
- Willingness to work in the North Region and respond to operational exigencies when required.
