We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join our project team in Palembang, Sumatera Selatan. In this crucial contract role, you will be the primary point of contact for quality assurance related to mechanical works. You will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical equipment installation, piping systems, and structural work comply with the highest standards of quality, project specifications, and international codes.
In this position, you will conduct rigorous inspections, review critical documentation, and coordinate with various project stakeholders. Your expertise in NDT, code requirements, and quality assurance processes will be essential in safeguarding the integrity of our projects. As a key member of the quality control team, you will contribute directly to the successful delivery of landmark industrial developments.

Tanggung Jawab
- Perform comprehensive inspections of mechanical equipment, piping systems, and structural installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes (ASME, API, ASTM).
- Conduct and witness Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities, including Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle (MT), and Dye Penetrant (PT) inspections.
- Thoroughly review and verify Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), material test certificates (MTCs), welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder performance qualifications (WPQs).
- Monitor the receiving, storage, handling, and preservation of materials and equipment to prevent damage and maintain traceability.
- Identify, document, and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring root cause analysis and effective corrective actions are implemented and verified.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports, weekly quality summaries, and maintain accurate project documentation for turnover packages.
- Coordinate closely with project engineers, construction managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues and maintain project momentum.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector in EPC, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical projects.
- Internationally recognized certifications strongly desired: CSWIP, AWS CWI, ASNT Level II (RT/UT/MT/PT).
- In-depth knowledge of ASME B31.1/B31.3, ASME Sec VIII, API 510/570 standards.
- Ability to proficiently read and interpret isometrics, P&IDs, and structural drawings.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and commitment to HSE standards.
- Proficient in MS Office and inspection documentation software.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia with working English proficiency; willing to be based in Palembang for a contract assignment.
