Are you an expert in mechanical integrity with a passion for world-class manufacturing? Unilever is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our site in Simalungun. In this critical role, you will be the guardian of our mechanical assets, ensuring that all rotating and static equipment, as well as welding activities, meet stringent safety and quality standards.
As part of the Unilever engineering team, you will lead inspection programs that drive operational excellence, minimize downtime, and ensure the long-term sustainability of our production facility. You will leverage your technical expertise to perform thorough assessments, identify risks, and implement proactive maintenance strategies that align with global Unilever safety protocols.
Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, execute, and document comprehensive inspection programs for static and rotating equipment.
- Perform high-level NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and visual inspections on welding joints to ensure structural integrity.
- Monitor equipment health, including vibrations, thermal profiles, and wear patterns on rotating assets.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with international codes (ASME, API, AWS) and Unilever engineering standards.
- Maintain detailed inspection logs, history files, and technical reports for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to prioritize repairs based on criticality and risk assessment.
- Provide technical guidance on material selection and welding procedures for site improvement projects.
Kualifikasi
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mechanical inspection, specifically with rotating and static equipment in a manufacturing or oil & gas environment.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent industry certification (CSWIP/ASNT) is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of pressure vessel codes, API standards, and rotating machinery maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficiency in digital maintenance management systems (SAP PM or similar).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to drive safety culture across the production floor.
