Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for molecular diagnostics? KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our prestigious DNA Diagnostic & Research Laboratory. In this critical role, you will perform specialized testing that directly impacts patient care, diagnosis, and ongoing clinical research initiatives in womenâs and childrenâs health.
As part of our high-performing team, you will operate state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, manage complex genetic samples, and ensure the highest standards of laboratory precision. Tanggung Jawab
- Perform routine and complex molecular diagnostic testing, including DNA extraction, PCR, and sequencing analysis.
- Ensure stringent quality control and quality assurance standards are maintained across all laboratory procedures.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain advanced laboratory instrumentation according to safety protocols.
- Accurately document and report findings in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to assist medical staff with diagnosis.
- Participate in research projects, validating new diagnostic assays and methodologies.
- Maintain compliance with all biosafety and hospital health regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff or laboratory assistants as required.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelorâs Degree in Biomedical Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related life sciences field.
- Relevant certification from the Singapore Medical Laboratory Board (or equivalent recognized board).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or research molecular diagnostic laboratory.
- Strong technical proficiency in PCR, Real-time PCR, and DNA sequencing technologies.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data integrity.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to collaborative team environments.
