Matahari Department Store, one of Indonesia's leading retail powerhouses, is seeking a talented Merchandiser / Buyer to join our dynamic team in Karawaci. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our product assortment, ensuring that our inventory resonates with our customers while maximizing profitability.
You will be responsible for end-to-end category management, from analyzing sales performance and market trends to negotiating with vendors and coordinating with our store operations team. Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies for assigned product categories.
- Analyze sales reports, sell-through rates, and stock levels to make data-driven buying decisions.
- Conduct regular market research to identify upcoming fashion trends and competitor activities.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and secure optimal delivery terms.
- Collaborate with store operations to ensure effective product display and inventory replenishment.
- Monitor gross margins and take proactive steps to optimize stock turnover and minimize markdowns.
- Prepare seasonal business reviews and planning presentations for senior management.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Management, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or category management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Indonesian and English.
- Strong aesthetic sense and deep understanding of the Indonesian retail market landscape.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a seasonal business cycle.
- High degree of integrity and professional ethics in vendor interactions.
