In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the language acquisition journey of our middle years students. You will utilize the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework to create engaging, culturally immersive, and intellectually stimulating lessons. The ideal candidate is a pedagogical expert who understands the nuances of teaching Chinese as a second or first language in an international context and is dedicated to the holistic development of every student.

Tanggung Jawab
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality IB MYP Chinese language curriculum that aligns with school standards and IB requirements.
- Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and language proficiency levels.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and communicate effectively with parents regarding student development.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, professional development workshops, and school-wide extracurricular activities.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and the development of the IB Learner Profile.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and implement unit inquiries and service-learning opportunities.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Literature, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is highly preferred.
- Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, B.Ed) with a strong emphasis on secondary pedagogy.
- Proven experience teaching Chinese within an IB MYP framework or similar inquiry-based curriculum.
- Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and strong English communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate educational technology into lesson delivery to enhance student engagement.
- Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and differentiation strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural international school environment.
