Nanyang Technological University (NTU) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Lecturer to join the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the academic excellence of one of Asia’s leading research universities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of storytellers and media professionals by teaching specialized courses in Genre and Narrative Strategies.
In this role, you will engage with a diverse cohort of students, fostering a deep understanding of how narrative structures function across various media formats, from film and television to digital storytelling. We are looking for an individual who combines theoretical knowledge with practical insights to inspire and challenge students in their academic journey.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures and tutorials on Genre and Narrative Strategies, ensuring alignment with course learning outcomes.
- Design comprehensive course syllabi, reading lists, and assessment criteria.
- Conduct research into narrative theory and genre studies to enrich the curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students regarding their academic progress and creative projects.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum reviews, and academic planning sessions.
- Assess student assignments, examinations, and final projects in a timely and fair manner.
Kualifikasi
- A Master’s degree or PhD in Film Studies, Media Studies, Literature, Communication, or a related field is required.
- Proven experience in tertiary-level teaching or a significant track record in the media/creative industries.
- Strong command of narrative theory, genre analysis, and contemporary storytelling trends.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Demonstrated passion for education and a commitment to student development.
