Tanggung Jawab
- Conduct engaging lectures, tutorials, and workshops for pre-service and in-service teacher education programs, both in physical and online settings.
- Develop and update curriculum content, instructional materials, and authentic assessments that reflect current educational trends and evidence-based practices.
- Mentor and supervise student teachers during their school-based practicum placements, providing constructive feedback and professional guidance.
- Assess student learning rigorously through grading of academic work, lesson observations, and portfolio evaluations.
- Collaborate with full-time faculty and programme leaders to ensure coherence in course delivery and alignment with NIE's strategic goals.
- Provide academic counseling and proactive support to students from diverse backgrounds, promoting equity and inclusion in the classroom.
- Engage in reflective practice and participate in departmental activities, curriculum reviews, and professional learning communities.
- Contribute to the intellectual life of the institute by attending seminars and sharing subject matter expertise with colleagues.
Kualifikasi
- A PhD or Master's degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Psychology, or a closely related specialization. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor's degree and significant professional experience (e.g., 10+ years in education leadership) will be considered.
- Proven excellence in teaching at the tertiary level or extensive, impactful experience in the Singapore mainstream or international school system.
- Deep pedagogical content knowledge and the ability to translate complex theories into practical classroom strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and challenge adult learners.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple teaching commitments effectively.
- Familiarity with the Singapore Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum, initiatives, and school landscape is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated scholarly activity, such as publications, conference presentations, or curriculum development projects, is a strong plus.
- A genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and professionalism.
