Are you a procurement professional with a passion for the automotive industry? GAC Motor by WTCA is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Parts Localization Executive to join our expanding team in Kuala Lumpur. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of our supply chain strategy, bridging the gap between global standards and local sourcing capabilities.
As a key member of the Procurement department, you will lead efforts to optimize our parts localization program. You will be responsible for identifying high-potential local suppliers, benchmarking costs against international benchmarks, and conducting complex negotiations to ensure the highest quality components at the most competitive rates. This position is perfect for a self-starter who excels in analytical thinking, thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is committed to operational excellence in the automotive sector.
Tanggung Jawab
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the localization of automotive parts to reduce lead times and optimize costs.
- Conduct in-depth cost benchmarking and market analysis to ensure competitive procurement pricing.
- Manage the end-to-end supplier selection process, including vetting potential vendors for technical and financial stability.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing structures with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes for the company.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance through regular audits and KPI reporting.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering and quality teams to ensure localized parts meet rigorous GAC Motor international standards.
- Maintain and update the master procurement database, ensuring accurate records of supplier contracts and pricing agreements.
Kualifikasi
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in procurement, specifically within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation and cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of automotive parts specifications and supply chain logistics in Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
